2 Nephi 25:26

Hello Hello!
I hope y'all didn't miss me too much but don't fret I didn't forget about you. I'm just emailing like 4 days late whoops!! And to all the Elders and Sisters reading this, I'm not interfering with any missionary work writing this so don't even worry.

Anyway let's get into it!

The title of this week's email comes from a postcard I have hanging right by my desk. I'm going to be so real. I thought I knew why I was going on a mission but the more and more I'd tell people the story of how I started and submitted my papers, got my call, etc etc. I realized that I have no clue... I truly have no clue what I'm doing.. so this scripture has been a good reminder that we do it all "Because of Him"! Even if I don't find a why for myself, I can come home saying I did it all for Him. I talked of, rejoiced in, and preached of Christ. And that'll be enough.

Aanywho!!
I usually write my emails like Monday night so you've all already heard about last P-day lol

Tuesday
We had lunch at this Japanese poke and sushi place and it was so yummy! Goates didn’t love it but that’s okay. Then we went to the church and made baptism programs and had a couple lessons before dinner and then... this is where it gets bad... I had to pass off lesson 2 to Elder Morley. But the phone was cutting out, I kept having to repeat myself when I already didn’t want to be doing it (y’all know how much I LOVE 12 week lol) so I ended the call in tears and without the lesson passed off. Boo that.

Wednesday
There were some weather notices and it was sooo gloomy and windy! Originally we were told not to leave the apartment but by the time we had stuff to actually go do, we were cleared to go out lol so it didn’t affect our day too much. Elder Lefevre and Elder Weikum came and knocked on our door and when we opened it Lefevre hands me this book and says “it’s.. my transfer journal..” He decided to go home and figure out what’s going on with his hands but he’s going to be back so soon!! And we miss him so much!! Everyone keep him in your prayers.
Later we went and did some service for Sister Wolcott! We get to her house and she goes “I am so overwhelmed can you just like help me reset my house?” And we say OF COURSE!! So we swept and mopped and vacuumed and sorted toys and it was just so fun.
For dinner Sister Beavers took us to this Mexican restaurant and she seriously spoiled us, it was so yummy! AND THEN I PASSED OFF LESSON 2 HORRAY!!!!!

Thursday
Holy cow Thursday already?!
Lefevre went home so everyone came over and said bye :(( We knocked around in Millford, talked to a cool guy named Randy who’s way into boy scouts and way into his Baptist church hahah, went to the Sparrow’s to print programs and that was pretty much it! We had a lesson, and ended up at Walmart in search of a purple shirt (we found one).

Friday
BAPTISM DAY!! Really just lots of prep. Filled the font, made cookies, set up the room etc etc. Alex was 15 minutes late to her own baptism but she showed up!! And she was baptized! So it was awesome! Me and Goates gave talks, and then we all ate cookies and like usual we went to sports night! It was... okay.. they played trash music (the only time we get to listen to real music because Josh brings his speaker) so that was annoying and there’s these really good guys but they all went on the same team so it wasn’t really fun for anyone else. But Elder Lefevre was on the phone so he was still included hahah. Oh! And when we went to get the mail today the lady at the desk was apologizing because apparently the other day the maintenance guy walked in next to us and was saying mean things about us and our religion and this lady was like “I’m just so sorry if you heard like I feel so bad he was being so mean” And Goates was like “oh that’s okay we hear it like everyday” hahahah I just want to know what he said tbh.

Saturday
We were in the apartment for longer than usual because Sister Goates wasn’t feeling well AT ALL but we eventually got out and we went to the park, did some chalk finding, we went and knocked AND TALKED TO LIKE 3 NICE PEOPLE IN A ROW!!!! THAT’S AMAZING!! And then we drove like 30 minutes to Herrington for a lesson with Alex and she didn’t answer the door... she was sleeping so we kind of drove all the way there for nothing lol. I took a nap on the way back to Millford for dinner with the Fords and it was actually pretty good this time! It was us and the Elders and Brother Ford didn’t even put paper towels in our water this time! Oh and we played with baby chickens which was so cute and so fun.

Sunday
Happy sabbath + 4 hours of church!!
We had a lesson with a girl named Brennah who was baptized like a year ago but she moved and came back and.. we’re learning the importance of making sure people are ACTUALLY ready to be baptized.. I couldn’t even explain this whole situation if I tried. It’s just.. yeah. Needless to say the lesson was a little bit of a disaster. BUT! It’s okay! We ball regardless. Yay for missionary work!!

This week was honestly super slow. The days went by quickly but the work felt slow which I think might be worse hahah but it was also spring break so that’s probably playing a part in it too.
You lucky ducks get two emails in like 4 days!! So I’ll wrap it up and talk to y’all on Monday.

Y’all know where to find me!
